Bouwmeester with Big Effort; Hot of Late

Standard Spin: Jay Bouwmeester is one of these D-men who could one-day return to his glory days of 15 goal seasons, but it just hasn't worked out for him in Calgary (yet).  Saturday he had his biggest night of the year, collecting a goal and 2 assists in the Flames 6-2 win over Edmonton - he currently has 7 points in his last 7 games.

Although it was only his 3rd tally on the year on Saturday, Bouwmeester is having a resurgent season of sorts.  Whereas last year he finished with 24 points in 82 games, this year he already has 21 in 49 (0.43 pts/game) and should finish with 35+ points.  He gets time on the PP and is collecting the same number of assists as he did in his heyday in Florida.  It's just the goals that are too few and far between.  Perhaps Saturday signals a shift?  His current performance is worth noting.
