Morrison Now a Blackhawk

Standard Spin: After a great start to last season, Brendan Morrison just hasn't been able to stay on track due to a host of injuries.  The Chicago Blackhawks are hoping the veteran will be ready to go for a run at the cup this Spring, acquiring the former Canuck, Duck, Star and Capital from the Flames for minor-league all-star defenseman Brian Connelly (2011-12: 44GP, 5G, 36Pts).  Connelly will move to the Abbotsford Heat of the AHL, while Morrison should slip directly into the Hawks starting line-up.  In the long-run, the Flames probably get the better half of this deal, unless Morrison and the Hawks win the Cup.  (1/28/12)
