(2/18/12) Blake Wheeler was traded to the Thrashers/Jets at the end of last season and it certainly looks like a good fit. He had 17 points in 23 games to finish last year, and now 2011-12 is turning into something special. With a quarter of the season still remaining, and following a solid 3-point night against Boston, Wheeler is only 3-points off his career-high point total of 45, which he established in his '08-09 rookie season. With 31 assists and 42 points, Wheeler leads the Jets in both categories.
Linemate Brian Little had an excellent showing on Friday as well, scoring two goals only minutes apart - one of which was the gamewinner. The Jets are just beginning a lengthy homestand, and fantasy GMs should note that the entire team gets an offensive bump at home.
