Brouwer Suprises with Hatty

Standard Spin: Troy Brouwer had himself a decent run back in November with 5G and 4A, but his season has been somewhat average in total.  That's why his 3-goal outburst on Friday comes as such a surprise, and will go down as one of his (if not the) personal career highlights.  Within the hat-trick, Brouwer scored on the PP and also had the GWG in the Caps' 4-3 win over the Lightning.  Brouwer now has 14 goals on the season; his career high is 20 goals and 40 points in 78 games with the Hawks during their Stanley Cup season.  Other notable scorers in the contest include Stamkos (with his 30th), Lecavalier (his 17th) and Ovechkin (18th).  Martin St. Louis had 2A.
