Morrison May Join Sharp on 2nd Line

Standard Spin: Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp is a gametime decision Tuesday against the Canucks.  He's close to returning from a wrist injury that has kept him out the last eight games.  During practice Monday, Sharp skated on a line with Marian Hossa and newcomer Brendan Morrison, who joins the Hawks for his first game since arriving via trade from Calgary.

If Morrison can take the ball and run with it here, he should be in for a big jump in production.  He had 11 points in 28 games with the Flames this year, and Sharp and Hossa are a huge upgrade over his previous linemates.  Morrison is bit of a journeyman at 36-years old, and he's never been a fantasy star, but he makes for a solid complimentary weapon on the Hawks' second line, and this opportunity suddenly has him fantasy relevant again.  (1/31/12)
