Giordano, Enstrom: Off the Pace due to Injury

(3/10/12) A couple fantasy blueliners having down years, but who had big seasons in 2010-11, showed up in full force in Calgary on Friday.  Mark Giordano (CGY) and Tobias Enstrom (WPG) each blasted home a power play marker and tallied an assist in the Flames' 5-3 win.

Giordano and Enstrom have both missed significant time this season due to injury.  Giordano missed all of December with a ruptured hamstring, and Enstrom missed all of November with a shoulder problem. If it weren't for these injuries, both players would've been performing at full speed all year. Their deflated totals may have some hockey pool owners yawning, so acquiring either if you need a defender is a decent strategy. Giordano is currently only 64% owned in ESPN leagues, while Enstrom would have to be brought in via trade.
