Habs Rock Red Wings

Standard Spin: In spite of there being only one game on the schedule Wednesday, there were still plenty of goals for fantasy owners, as the Habs dismantled a listless Red Wings team 7-2 heading into the all-star break.  David Desharnais kept up his excellent play, netting two goals and an assist, and he now has 15 points in his last 12 games.  He's become a mandatory pick-up in points leagues, although his physical stats leave something to be desired for roto owners.

Erik Cole also had a 3-point night, with a goal and two helpers, and he has a nice streak going of his own - 9 points in his last 5 games.  Surprisingly, he's on pace for the best statistical season of his career in spite of Montreal's struggles this year.  Max Pacioretty also had two points, as did newcomer Rene Bourque, who had his best game since arriving from the Flames.  (Jan.26)
