Parise Hatty Leads Devils: Best in the US?

(3/3/12) Talk about a come-back story.  Zach Parise played only 13 games in 2010-2011 thanks to a knee injury he suffered in the early going.  Friday he recorded the hat trick in the Devils' 6-0 romp over the Washington Capitals, including a powerplay goal and the game winner.  Parise is now up to 27 goals and 56 points in 64 games.

There has been considerable debate inside the Fantasy Hockey Standard war room regarding who the top American-born skater is in the game today, but at this point in the fantasy season we will give the nod to Parise.  Ryan Kesler is our other top forward who wears the stars and stripes and he is also having a solid fantasy year (19G, 43P, 60 games), but nothing like the 41 goal campaign he posted last year.

Other notable performances from the Devils' victory include Elias, Henrique, Zubrus and Clarkson (again!) who all had 2 point nights.  Elias had a SHG to seal the win.
