Pavelec Scores Huge Win for Jets

(3/17/12) In a game with a playoff atmostphere, Ondrej Pavelec and the Winnipeg Jets scored a huge win over the Washington Capitals Friday, closing the gap to just two points in the fight for the final eastern playoff spot.  Pavelec made 22 saves and earned his 27th victory of the season.

Can the Jets pull it off?  We hope so.  We always cheer for the Canadian teams, and a playoff berth would be the perfect way to cap the Jets' return season to the 'Peg.  After last night, the Caps sit at 78 points, the Jets at 76, and the Sabres are also in the hunt at 75.  Each team has eleven games remaining, and it looks like the 8th seed will likely go to one of the three.  Go Jets!
