Bruins Extend Boychuk

The Bruins handed defenseman Johnny Boychuk a 3-year, $10.08 Million contract extension Tuesday.  At 28, we pretty much know what we're getting from Boychuk, although he's a bit of a late bloomer.  This season he has 10-points in 53-games, and he'll never be mistaken for Paul Coffey, but his defensive stats and his plus-23 rating have him owned as a low-end defenseman in about 20% of Yahoo leagues.  And now that he's locked in with the Bs for the next three years, it only helps to stabalize his fantasy value in keeper formats.  (2/15/12)
