Rookie Update: Landeskog, Foligno, Greening

(3/15/12) Slow and steady wins the race.  Gabriel Landeskog scored his 20th goal of the season on Wednesday; it was a 2 point night for the rookie who has managed to play in every Avalanche game this season and produce at a steady clip.  Landeskog is once again tied with Adam Henrique for the rookie points lead, and he is now the top freshman goal scorer.

Colin Greening isn't receiving the same sort of attention he garnered at the beginning of the year, but he too has been consistent.  He scored a goal playing with Michalek and Spezza on Wednesday, and now has 31 points on the year - good for 8th in rookie scoring.  Greening has taken the third most shots by a freshman this season, behind Landeskog and Craig Smith.

And Buffalo upstart Marcus Foligno followed up his first career goal on Saturday with a 2 goal performance in the Sabres' 5-4 shootout loss to Colorado.  Foligno is seeing time alongside Stafford and Ennis and the trio combined for 6 points in the game.  If you need a rookie, he's currently producing.
