VID: Moulson Scores 20th

Standard Spin: Matt Moulson and John Tavares continued their consistent offensive ways in the Islanders' suprising 5-1 win at home over the Red Wings (a franchise for which the glory years seem like they are ending).  Moulson (3 points) scored twice, including his 20th on the season, while John Tavares also recorded 3 points and linemate Kyle Okposo had 1G and 1A.  The reason for the victory?  Well, let's just say that last season there was a little waiver-error in the Detroit organization that sent the Isles' starting goalie Evgeni Nabokov off to Long Island and into the clutches of Charles Wang and Garth Snow. Of note: Tomas Holmstrom returned for the Wings and recorded an assist. (Jan.11)
