Standard Spin: Dennis Wideman assisted on the first two Capitals' goals on Friday and now has 8G and 23A for 31 points on the season - tied for 4th in scoring by a D-man.  Karlsson continues to lead the chase, way out in front over second place with 43 points in 44 games.  He's almost at the point-per-game mark, which is an exceptional feat for a defender.  Other notable defensemen scorers this season include the resurgent Brian Campbell (33 points in 43 games) and Kimmo Timonen (25A in 42 games).
