Zetterberg Breaks Goal Drought, Big Bert Hot
Standard Spin: Henrik Zetterberg finally broke out of his 14 game scoring slump, getting the Wings on the board, and potting what would be the game-winner in a 5-0 steamrolling of the Sabres. It's nice to see Zetterberg on the scoresheet, but unless this is the start of a cascade of goals, his owners will be holding a grudge for a long time coming.
Zetterberg's teammate Todd Bertuzzi is a player whose owners are at the other end of the spectrum. Bertuzzi had a 3-point night Monday, his 5th tally in two games, and he's shown no ill effects from a back flare-up that caused him to miss a start last week. He's also defying logic with his fantasy performance over a longer trajectory. Over the last 25 games, Big Bert has a surprising 20 points. Can he possibly keep that pace up? We have to think there's no chance, but who knows? Things are upside-down in Detroit this year... We suggest riding Bertuzzi into the ground and bailing out as soon as he shows signs of slowing down.
